inspired by beth cyr and sophie from duckduckgooseStuff, rachelle and i talked about doing a collaboration. although our work is quite different, we are often on the same kind of wavelength. we sent packages to each other with components we had sitting around, but could not figure out how to use.
i got these fantastic components in the mail. there are a lot more that i'll be posting as i use them.
below is the first piece i've finished with her work. saw those little shapes and just felt they needed to be a little chain soldered together.

what a coincidence! it's funny how when you get an idea signs of it pop up everywhere.... this is -exactly- what i was going to suggest for the spring/summer swap on Flickr's artist-to-artist group. I thought it would be great fun to send bits out to someone, and get a piece back in which the artist incorporated your components. Alisa, how flattering to think I had anything to do with this - I love your infinity knitting, it's really beautiful. I was thinking this morning that i really needed to get in touch with Beth about our tennis, I think I let the ball go out of court a while ago, eek.
